To cross the Never Never one must walk the length of the lake, passing through Echo point and Narcissus bay. The travellers’ range is visible across the water.
This is a contemplation on the act of walking - its phrasing; how we bring thoughts and observations to the landscape and how sometimes the thoughts disappear. The lake, which is the deepest in the highland regions and the source of the river, presents a simple analogy- the surface subject to elements and the depth, imperturbable and invisible.
