It’s an incredible idea to drop the volume of water levels of a Lake; this was the function of the pump house at Lake St Clair- to redirect water for use downstream; to mechanically control the level of Australia’s deepest Lake, carved out over 2 glaciations. The pump house was capable, with a drawdown capacity of approximately 2 metres, lifting 250 cubic feet of water per second. In my mind, this is both intriguing and disturbing. I draw a parallel to the act of pulling the plug on a full-drawn bath.
